Horoscope for March 2009: Aries

Things become more settled on the professional front this month, with most of the effort needed in order to launch not just a new professional year but a whole new professional era, now behind you. That means you're able to turn your attention to your personal and your social life, both of which are demanding a lot more attention this month. The month begins with a line up of planets in your sector of friendship, teamwork and networking, giving you an opportunity to connect on both a personal and a professional level, making valuable contacts and connections, with a real sense of synchronicity in the air. It is Venus, planet of love that has her sights firmly on your love life though. Turning retrograde on the 7th March, this gives you an opportunity to take a trip down love's memory lane, with some second chances on offer, just as a new solar year, beginning on the 21st March, begins opening new doors.

A lot of the energy and effort needed to launch your professional year into orbit has been done and you're now easing back into a more manageable flight plan. That doesn't mean that there isn't a lot going on, it is just that there is not that much forward movement. With Saturn already in retrograde motion in your work sector and Pluto starting to slow down, getting ready for his retrograde move early next month, it is now about either going back over old ground or focusing on where you are now and on the task at hand. Expect some work pressure, with the Sun moving closer into an opposition with Saturn, which will peak from around the 9th to the 11th March. See this as an opportunity to create a better work/life balance, realising that you're now running a marathon, rather than a sprint. Just as things are coming to a head on the social front, finally stealing your attention away from an all work and no play reality, Venus is bringing things to a head on the romantic front. The planet of love and romance begins the month already slowing down as she moves through your sign, getting ready to turn retrograde on the 7th March. It is once Venus turns retrograde that she begins a trip down love's memory lane, where over the next 6 weeks she'll evoke old romantic memories, as well as bringing second chances and stirring old ghosts from their slumber. Keep an open heart, allowing old memories to stir long forgotten feelings, without second guessing where this is going to take things. There are still many twists and turns ahead, before Venus eventually leaves your sign in June, bringing one of your most powerful Venus returns in years.

As things take on a more 'steady as she goes' mode on the professional front and with no activity in either of your money houses until the end of next month, refuse to over play your hand or read too much into a financial situation, especially any current lulls. Instead, take the opportunity to take a more generous approach to your financial game, focusing less on your own situation and more on others.
